That’s exactly what happened to Melissa Salguero, a teacher at P.S. 48 Joseph R. Drake Elementary in the Bronx area of New York. Salguero is the 2018 winner of the Grammy Music Educator Award. This award was established in 2013 to recognize current educators who have made significant and lasting contributions to the field of music education.
